Brave Browser introduces a built-in browser wallet to support Ethereum. In a press conference on Tuesday, the team announced that Brace Wallet will enable over 40 million users to share their assets and also access decentralized applications (dApps).

They are truly based on Ethereum Layer Solutions 2 and other EVM- harmonious sidechains alike Polygon and xDai.

This Ethereum wallet competes with Web3 MataMask, Trust Wallet and Wallet Connect wallets. Almost every Web3 wallet is offered via extensions. And on the contrary, Brave wallets can be accessed immediately via the Browser, Thus, avoiding the download of other extensions.

Brave Browser says that such kind of wallet would be effective in overcoming performance issues and security lapses. Which are often associated with browser extensions. Moreover, it claims that the Web3 wallets are the most vulnerable to any security breaches and theft attacks.

Many users have complained about money theft and hackers stealing their money via fake web extensions in the past. Hackers and thieves can easily trick wallet owners into entering their respective unique private keys.

Brian Bondy is the CTO and Co-Founder of Brave. He elaborates the features of the native browser wallet:

“Brave Wallet doesn’t need any kind of extensions. Instead brave is a browser-native that removes important performance and security concerns. While preserving the main features of the famous crypto wallets.”

While the latest offering offers the Brave users to import their pre-existing wallets from MetaMask to any other hardware wallet.

The stand out feature of Brave is that it allows the users to import their pre-existing wallets, whether from MetaMask to the other hardware wallet. And allows them to exchange Ethereum based tokens while providing historical market data through CoinGecko API. Brave has a very authentic partnership with Wyre which makes it reliable and more trustworthy.

Currently, the Web3 wallet is the only available browser wallet in desktop browsers. And plans to launch the mobile version soon. Brave wallet is a bit different from Brave rewards browser. It is an opt-in option that rewards Brake Tokens users with BAT for displaying ads to protect their privacy.
